Gaitore or Gaya Ka Thor (meaning the final resting ground of the departed souls) is the crematory of the Kachhwaha Rajput dynasty of Jaipur. The premises houses about a dozen cenotaphs of which seven are large in size. The first of these cenotaphs was that of Sawai Maharaja Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur and the latest is that of Sawai Raja Man Singh, the father of Maharaja Bhawani Singh, the last king of the Kachhwaha dynasty of Jaipur. In sight are the cenotaphs of Sawai Maharaja Jai Singh II, Sawai Raja Ram Singh, Sawai Raja Pratap Singh and Sawai Raja Madho Singh I. These cenotaphs present excellent examples of Rajput architect and craftsmanship.
